- Our old offices in Carruth-O'Leary, since it was an old dorm, were on the same floor as the women's bathroom.

- There's also the story about one of the doctoral students who went into the office one day and said to Peggy
Showalter, "There's a dead mouse in my office." Peggy had this little thing that she would use to clean out your
computer mouse. So she said, "Just bring it down here and I'll clean it out for you." And the doctoral student said,

- When Peggy first came to the institute, there was a young woman who was working as a secretary. One of the
first things she told Peggy was that August was just really a slow month and that she would be so bored in August.
